Pursuing Versatile Talents STAR
About the Project – STAR
The STAR project (Science, Technology, Awareness, and Research) is an Erasmus+ partnership between three schools in Belgium, Poland, and Türkiye. Our main goal is to promote excellence in STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and integrate it with CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) to make learning more dynamic, inclusive, and future-oriented.
Objectives:
-
Increase students' motivation and confidence in science and math
-
Train teachers in CLIL and innovative teaching methods
-
Connect classroom learning to real-life environmental and technological challenges
-
Strengthen digital and communication skills
-
Encourage intercultural collaboration and awareness
-
Involve students in meaningful international teamwork
Who is it for?
The project focuses on students aged 12 to 16, especially those who:
-
Struggle with STEM subjects
-
Have limited learning opportunities
-
Want to explore science and technology in an engaging, hands-on way
Teachers are also actively involved through training sessions and exchange of best practices.
Why this project?
Surveys showed that many students feel anxious or unmotivated when it comes to science and mathematics. We believe this can change if we:
-
Use practical, project-based learning
-
Apply STEM in environmental and real-life contexts
-
Create a positive, international learning experience
With STAR, we want to help students realise that science is everywhere – and that they have a place in shaping the future.
